About

Cyber Economics Insight is an academic collaboration formed in 2018 by Dr Wynne Lam and Dr Jacob Seifert with initial financial support from UK Research and Innovation and the Digital Security by Design Social Science (Discribe) Hub+.

Our evidence-based approach can inform robust business and regulatory decisions in the area of cybersecurity. Working both independently and in collaboration, we bridge the gap between research and practice to explore incentives in digital markets through a game-theoretic lens.

Our economic modeling advances understanding of the interactions between cybersecurity, data privacy and competition. We are currently expanding on these research themes by studying the economics of cybersecurity, data privacy and digital markets more generally.

We welcome partnerships to develop policies that balance the needs of consumers with private, public and third-sector aims. Please get in touch!
